| Archaeopteris This ink wash illustration of Archaeopteris was found by Department of Paleobiology curator, Francis M. Hueber, in the notes of paleobotanist Leo Lesquereux. It was either drawn by Lesquereux or commissioned by him for his work Coal Flora, but was not completed in time for inclusion in the publication (personal communication, F.M. Hueber, 2001). |
