The images below comprise the bulk of the Kellogg illustration collection of fossil and modern whales.

The genus and species below are identified as they appear in Kellogg’s publications, however many names have changed. See this link for a specimen list with updated names, kindly provided by Dr. Mark D. Uhen, George Mason University.

These items were organized, archivally cleaned, rehoused, and catalogued by Sarah Pelot, and digitized by Julia Coursey. They are part of a Department of Paleobiology Filemaker Pro database of historical paleontological illustrations.  The Kellogg illustration collection currently includes art inventory #247-594; 3289-3291 (348 illustrations), however, a substantial number additional illustrations have been found since this compilation was made.
